1. Find two horses

To start, you need to find two horses to breed. People who live in the Plains region often see horses. For those having trouble finding a horse, cheats and brush eggs can help you call one to you.

Luckily, shiny carrots don’t cost too much. You can make them by putting eight gold nuggets around a standard carrot.

Gold nuggets can be found in lower-world gold ores, smelted gold things, and treasure chests. You can craft nine nuggets together or smelt raw gold and gold rock to get gold ingots.

4. Using Food

When feeding your horse, you can use Golden Apples, Enchanted Golden Apples, or Golden Carrots, whichever you prefer.

When you feed the golden apples to the horses, you will see red hearts appear above their heads. Each of these horses is going into love mode.

Once you’ve fed both horses, they will turn to each other, and the hearts will continue to appear above their heads.

After a while, the red heart will disappear, and a cute little horse will stand there.

You will now have three horses: two grown-ups and a baby. The ponies (also called “foals”) will go with their parents everywhere. A baby turns into an adult horse in about 20 minutes. You can speed up the process if you feed it apples, sugar, wheat, or hay.

Most foals will share their colors and markings with one of their parents, but there is about a 29% chance that they will end up with a completely random appearance. Therefore, if you want a certain horse color, you must breed two horses with that color.

Each horse in the game will have randomized life, movement speed, and jumping strength stats when generated. When you make a foal, the game figures out its numbers by taking the average of the stats of both parents and a horse that doesn’t exist in the game. In other words, the better the parent horse, the better the foal will be. However, it is very hard to make the perfect foal.
